MAN ON THE ROAD

MAN ON THE ROAD

Man on the road
Just walking away
Their lies not sold
He's no need for vain gold
Truth is his need
He'll take it at any speed
From hell and back
For once taking the right track

Man on the road
Won't bother another soul
No need to be in the fold
Game too him is unreal
He feels what he feels
Sees what he sees
Watches people break rules
He longs to be free

Man on the road
One man on his own
Walking the street
Patrolling the beat
Tomorrow, he may be gone
Won't say where he's from
No-one saw, he was blanked
He leaves unmarked

Man on the road
Shadow walking with him
Keeping close, near by
Just behind too right
Waiting too strike
But only strangers in night
Who come too fight
The man on the road
